About Us

Hi there! We’re so glad you’re here. At PlayTime Waco, we’ve created a space where kids can play, explore, and have tons of fun while parents relax, connect, and even get some work done. As a family-owned and operated business, this is more than just a play space for us—it’s a dream come true.

We’re the Gallegos family: Alexia, Edgar, and our three amazing daughters—Arianna, age 10, and our energetic 2-year-old twins, Avery and Everleigh. We’re proud Waco natives and high school sweethearts who tied the knot on April 17, 2021. Both of us grew up in University ISD, and we’re now raising our own family right here in this wonderful community. When we’re not running our businesses (Edgar also owns Taquisa Waco!), you’ll find us at Glory Bell Church or spending time with our family and friends.

How It All Began
The idea for PlayTime Waco came from a need I felt as a stay-at-home mom of toddlers. I was constantly traveling out of town to find clean, safe, and fun indoor play spaces that were just as enjoyable for me as they were for my kids. That’s when Edgard and I decided it was time to bring something special to Waco—and in January 2025, we opened the doors to PlayTime Waco! Fun fact: our 10-year-old daughter Arianna came up with the name.

What We Offer
Our play area is designed to spark imagination, encourage active play, and let kids just be kids. Some of the highlights include:

• A ball pit
• Padded honeycombs for climbing
• Slides, swings, and monkey bars
• A sandbox
• Pretend play shops like a grocery store, doctor’s office, and a fire station
• An interactive activity wall
• A cozy classroom corner perfect for homeschool families
• And so much more!

For the Parents
We know parenting is a full-time job, so we’ve thought of you, too! PlayTime Waco is the perfect spot for:

• Work-from-home parents: Enjoy free Wi-Fi and a quiet workspace while keeping a clear view of your child in the play area.
• Moms and dads looking to connect: Meet other parents with kids around the same age, share tips, and maybe even make some lifelong friends.
• Family fun: Whether you join your little ones in the play area or kick back in our cozy seating, there’s something for everyone here.

Community Events and More
We also offer a variety of activities and events, like dancing and movement classes, arts and crafts days, birthday parties, and even parents-night-out evenings. With flexible options like day passes or monthly memberships (which include awesome discounts), we make it easy for families to enjoy everything PlayTime Waco has to offer.
